My husband and I first invested in a passport back in 2013. Our daughter got her first passport the same year she was born in 2015! We are now waiting on our sons arrival to apply for his passport ASAP! We already have the papers and money order ready for him to go get one ! Haha!

One of the most interesting things I learned while traveling with our daughter is that kids are innocent and not aware of a culture difference while traveling so our daughter breaks the ice every time we meet strangers. It doesn’t matter where we travel to our daughter’s outgoing personality brings us attention!

Out of all the benefits of travel, what is one thing you hope your children take out it?

One thing I hope my children take out of the experience of travel is to humble themselves. I want them to have an understanding that each place we go to is unique in their own way and its okay to immerse themselves in each culture and learn that “the america dream” isn’t the only way of life.

It honestly depends where we are flying to. If its a short flight or a weekend getaway we rather pay the extra money for a direct flight. If the long layover is long enough time that satisfied us as a family and we’re able to check out the place we’re stopping over to, then it is worth it for us.
