SMALL TOKENS

There’s a special place in my heart for Australians. I believe they’ve figured out the secret to life. Eternal sunshine coupled with 99 percent of all the worlds deadliest creatures will do that to you. I’ve meant countless stellar Aussies on my travels, to validate this theory.

The hallmark of a truly good person is the complaint they keep. So it’s no surprise that every time I meet a stellar Australian they introduce me to an equally stellar compadre who is LEGEND.

Last month one such legend sent me something in the post. A vintage sterling silver stamped Native American Turquoise ring that is an absolute stunner. The stones so bright and blue I literally had to change the lineup of all the other rings on my hand so as not to dampen its luster.This ring, that I’ve gotten countless compliments on, is a reminder that on the other side of the world there are people who hold me in their heart. What’s more is that there is good and beauty in this world if we just look. That people are posting old finds sitting in their dresser drawers to fast friends in faraway places gives me hope for humanity.
